Good news! This Women’s Month, SweepSouth is coming together with Sorbet to give back to the women who look after you and your family. After starting the project for Mandela Day, we wanted to expand on our 67 minutes and help uplift and empower 67 SweepStar women, leading to our next initiative. Now more than ever South Africans need to continue empowering domestic workers, and what better way than to make them feel good? This initiative will include donations of Sorbet care packs, hair and nail makeovers, barber sessions, and mentorship workshops with Sorbet’s top achievers, among other things.
To inspire, motivate & upskill SweepStars is our main mission, and we’re excited to partner up with Sorbet who are dedicated to uplifting individuals and in addition aim to make a difference in the SweepStars lives. “Going into business partnerships is an age-old practice that remains relevant today. To help uplift and improve the lives of many SweepStars, nationwide beauty therapy hubs, Sorbet, together with Africa’s Number One Home Services Platform got together to provide the ultimate “care package” – a caring gesture to honour them as women. From special treatments to masterclasses, we hope to create a lasting impact on the domestic workers’ lives, leaving them with knowledge & power.
Here’s a breakdown of exciting things to follow:

- Sponsored care packs to SweepStar including (Vanity bag, sanitiser, hand and body cream, body wash).
- INSPIRATIONAL & INSIGHTFUL MASTERCLASSES:
- Sorbet Masterclass for 67 SweepStars to motivate, upskill and inspire.
- Mentorship sessions with Sorbet’s top achievers.
- Free data will be given to SweepStars by Sorbet to attend the Zoom mentorship sessions.
The sessions include:
- Barber sessions – Top five barbers to host one session each sharing their story of becoming a barber and their road to success in this field.
- Beauty sessions – Top five nail techs to host one session each sharing their story of becoming a barber and their road to success in this field.
- LUXURY PAMPER SESSIONS:
- Monthly pamper sessions for 10 SweepStars per month.
- Pamper sessions to be hosted at Sorbet.
