This February we ran a #monthoflove campaign encouraging our online community to share the love and not only think about themselves but others as well.
One of the main reasons why SweepSouth was started was to create dignified work opportunities to previously unemployed and underemployed individuals. With around 70% of the SweepStars on our platform being single mothers and more than 84% of them being sole breadwinners, it highlights how important these opportunities are. It became clear, very early on, that flexibility was key! Our SweepStars are able to dictate their own schedules, and great performance is rewarded.
We’re proud to provide our SweepStars with forms of security they may not otherwise have access to, or that would form part of their living costs. A great example of this is our partnership with Simply, which gives SweepStars access to life insurance and funeral cover ‒ two things which are especially important to a family reliant on the income of a single member.
Through the course of February, or “Valentine’s month” as most like to call it, we gave you an opportunity to start your journey to Self Love, show your Love 4 Others and Share the Love. Finally, this past weekend, we ended it off with a Celebration of our SweepStars!
We surprised some of our top performers, and a friend of their choice, to a movie experience together with a lovely Yardley cosmetic hamper as a token of our appreciation for maintaining such high standards and for flying the SweepSouth flag proudly with every home cleaned.
The ladies were chosen purely on a performance basis for the month of February. Each of these SweepStars consistently manages high frequency schedules, cleaning between roughly 62 homes every month. Over the past 30 days alone, they’ve also managed to maintain their personal ratings at an average of 4.86, with the highest rated SweepStar achieving an impressive 4.95 out of a maximum of 5.
By all accounts, the experience was was very well received, “We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest!” said one SweepStar. We are already working on our next SweepStar surprise, so watch this space!
